I’m Brittany Marley.
I’m 26 years old, & still figuring out what this life is all about. Figuring out what I want and how to get it. One thing I’ve learned so far on my journey, is that vibrant health is key for me to live my life to the fullest.
You see, I was nearly 200 pounds, depressed, anxious, hated my body, hated myself, thought about suicide, was on medication, ate with my emotions, battled acne, and had a really dark outlook on life.
It wasn’t until June of 2011 for things to start looking brighter. I changed my diet in a radical way, and before I knew it, my clothes were falling off of me, the number on the scale was continuously dropping, and when I looked in the mirror each morning, I was smiling.
Just imagine it, going from this:
It wasn’t until I changed, that my situation changed. Albert Einstein says “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
..And I did that for many years. I was INSANE!
I tried losing weight the same way, with no long-term results. I still ate my favorite ice creams.I still drank my soda pop. I still ate my fried chicken and french fries (with a milkshake to go with it, of course!)
But finally, the pain of staying the same was greater than the pain of change.
So I made drastic changes.
And I found freedom. Freedom to finally live my life. Freedom from worry. Freedom from self-hate and negativity.
I found freedom in food.
And I’d love to help you find your freedom too, whatever that may be.
Also keep in mind that my journey wasn’t perfect. And I’m still not perfect! (It’s basically impossible, you see.) I still enjoy eating chocolate, and chips, and ice cream, and cookies, and…well I’ll stop there. I just love sweets! And I still eat them. In moderation, well most times anyway. 😉
I still over eat and over indulge in less clean foods. Get belly aches. Ask the universe “WHY ME?!” Then do it all over again.
I’m only human.
But I’m learning and becoming better, just like everyone else in the world. I’m an ever evolving being after similar goals in life: Long lasting health, vibrancy, great relationships, love, happiness.
The way we eat becomes our way of life, and in order to live healthy lives we must create healthy lifestyles and healthy habits.
Thank you for being here with me. I love you.
